Just got my car back...
For those of you that saw my transmission was on its way out...I had my transmission rebuilt. Since I get a great interest rate at my financial institution since my mother works there, I just re-wrote my car loan to cover it. Looks like I will be paying for the Bonneville for a little longer.
My initial complaint started with really rough shifting. Pretty much everything was replaced in the transmission with all available improved parts, as well as a shift kit and a new torque convertor. Both sway bars were replaced, and transmission mounts. There is was also one "mount and strut" kit on my bill, which he explained on the phone but I'm not quite sure what that was exactly. It also appears that they painted the trans black. It looks kinda cool.
On the plus side, this car is a beast now. Shifts are so fast and tight...it is a beautiful thing. I will have to remember not to beat the **** out of it all the time.
Total cost: $2864.16 CAD. Ouch. This car is going to have to last me a hell of a long time now...

That explains the happiness.
Do yourself a favor, let it break in for a couple hundred miles, then start increasing the modulator pressure one full turn per day, once a day. You'll be amazed at the shifts. Then back it down to the spot you like the best.
