Default FULL RESTORATION PLAN

ok now i know i posted before about a few parts i would use...but in this post i am going to include EVERYTHING i plan to do when i eventually rebuild this car from the ground up.

Please include anyhting i forgot...

Now this is all hypothetical for the moment as you all know i have a lackage of moneyage...

Engine:
Remanufactured LN3 - Jasper Engines
(POSSIBLY taken to a performance rebuilder and see what can be gotten out of it)

Transmission:
Remanufactured T440 - Jasper Engines - not sure if i can upgrade to a 3.33 from a 2.84

Suspension:
All new SensaTrac Luxury Ride Struts w/ aftermarket air ride...
All new control arms
Bushings
New Stabilizer Bars
New Coils
Basically everything that can be replaced here will

Brakes:
System will be totally replaced

Cooling System:
Radiator
Aftermarket Oil cooler
Aftermarket Trans Fluid Cooler
New Resivoir Tank
New Hoses (obviously)

Interior:
Seats to be restuffed
New Carpet
New Mats
a bunch of aftermarket gages (not to the point of being a ricer)
new window motors
door lock motors
lock cylinders

Exterior:
Rust/Dent Repair
Front Bumper Cover Replace
Rear Bumper Cover Replace
New Windshield
New Trim (where needed)
New Badges and emblems
Complete repaint (at least 3 coats)with integrated and top clear coat
spf protection
New seals (where needed)
double undercoat

Exaust:
All new high flow exaust system (whatever and whoever that may be who makes it)
Converted to Dual Outlet Exaust

Lighting:
Fog lights
Silverstars
twighlight custom install

Sound System:
Not really sure yet, but it has gotta have some serious power and style to it.

I am really interested to know, if i replace everything in the car as shown above...wouldn't it be legal to classify this as a custom/new vehicle? And buy a new odometer for this new car...? i guess that would require a not actual mileage title and such...because the VIN # corresponds to the mileage...ohh that sucks...

Well anyways, let me know if i forgot anything...

Also, I was not really sure where to post this, so yeah...

im just saying.. with everything you have listed.. you are looking at about the same price as a 99+ SSEi? would you really wanna drive a brand new looking 89 or a nice looking ssei?

very true haro...

never thought about it that way....

this will all probably run me like 13-16k so hell why not just buy a 2002-2003 SSEi...? i think i might have changed my mind....

but i am still going to make SOME repairs to my '89..it holds a place in my heart...

I don't know....

I've always loved the idea of getting car I like (don't really care about what'* popular) and rebuilding it. It'd be a great way to have a potentially unique car.

The only things stopping are time, money, and skill.

I say, if you like the car, and want to rebuild it, go for it! Do what you want, and what you can afford.

haha, well i am really balancing this...i can either get a 2003 SSEi for 14k-23k or i can redo this car for 9-16k...hmm...the 2003 is MUCH faster...much nicer...ohh god!!! i think as soon as i get the money i am gonna get a 2003, THEN when money allows (after modding my 2003) i will do a partial restore on my '89 LE

the other positive about buying the newer car is you can finance it and make payments. tough getting a bank to give you loans to finance restorations/mods. I think about that everyday with my camaro.

ahh, i wouldn't make payments, i would buy it outright...i don't like having to owe on things...so it just might take a bit longer...but it will happen...probably by early next year...hopefully

Johns gettin a new ride!! YEEYAH
