Paint code U116B 563 ?

Hi, Does anyone know what Pontiac's name is for this gold/silver metallic paint on my '97 SSEi? What I'm guessing are the paint codes on the build sheet on the spare tire cover (lowest line on the sheet) : BC/CC U116B 563 :?:

Look for your paint code on the driver door information sticker.
At the bottom of the tag is where you'll find the paints 'WA' numbers.

Can't find a paint sticker on the driver's door - just a tire info sticker and below it, something that looks like a 3" x 4" diagonal striped white reflector :? Maybe someone removed the paint sticker?

Anyway on the "build sheet" in the trunk was one three character code beginning with W -- WA6 Does that make any sense?

The WA should be the paint code. Mine is WA-9806 for example. If you check at Pepboys or another auto store they'll have paint code catalogs. Match with your code for your year car, and it will give the real name of the color.

Ya, that makes sense. If your paint code is still a WA number/code, it will be longer than 3 characters...that's just an RPO code. It should be the last code on the sticker, bottom right of the list I think.. What I would even do is check the catalog at an auto store for all 1997 GM cars, check the paint codes and color names listed and find what sounds like your color, and find the code for that. See if you have that code.

Got it! 50U rpo code = stone beige metallic. Thanks Jim W and all. Say, those RPO codes are fun to decode! I didn't even know the car had heated ext mirrors. :o

If they are tinted blue they most surely are 8)

Glad you found it, copy your rpo's onto a list and look them all up. Takes a while but there maybe a few more suprises in there
