Tune up spend or not
Hey all,
I'm gettin my 95 3800 series 2 Bonnie tuned up next week and was wondering if it was worth it to spend extra money for delco rapid fire spark plugs. Anybody use them? I was going to do it myself until I saw the back plugs, not for me. So im letting my GM dealer do it. Any other suggestions for parts, I'll spend the extra money if its worth it, or are regular platuinum plugs good enough. Also Im getting new wires too, are regualar AC delco wires ok, or should I ask them for something else there too.
Thanx...

Regular Delco wires are fine. I believe those rapid spark plugs are a good deal, but nothing wrong with OE spark plugs either to save a few bucks towards gas money

The OEM Delco plugs are good plugs, they generally dont last as long as the Rapid Fires..
Personally i have been running NGK'* in mine..however the Delco is an excellent choice..its really up to you, spend more, get more longevity out of the plug..as for wires, the Delco wires will be more than suitable.

The back plugs aren't really that hard to do.
I did mine this weekend, just be careful when removing the plug boots. Beat up fingers hurt

I agree about the rear plugs. You should try and change the plugs on my 2003 Malibu, they are a bit harder to get to, and even less room back there, now that was a PITA.
As for the plugs and wires, I agree with the above statements.

You can't 'feel' a spark plug unless your old ones were in need of replacement. A spark plug can restore lost power, but isn't a performance mod in and of themselves.
NGK makes the AC Delco plugs.
