I wish the body lines were closer...
I found a carbon fiber hood for a 5 series that'* pretty cheap.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-E...QQcmdZViewItem
Here'* the difference:
The Beemer hood bows out then gets skinnier torwards the front. And there is also the section where the front fender comes up and meets the hood...
Also I'm unsure on the length of the beemer hood from front to back as well as the orientation of my headlights compared to the actual beemer setup.
Hmmm.
The beemer hood body lines might make it look like a 'cowl' hood.
Something to think about for when I have $300...
Of course I know once I start making modifications the whole carbon fiber weave look will have to be painted over.
What do you guys think?[/img]

ok my idea is this you want it to look different not the exact same as a bmw. if you try to make it look exact it will look like an attempt at one instead of a real one. If you just do some mods to make your car look different, it will make it stand out and make it look unique. If anything try to make it look even more different but dont try to follow an exact look, or else it will basically will be mocking a certian model of a car that already exists. The hood you have right now flows well with the lights and everything. But yah just suggestions. I love your work and what you have done. Your car really stands out and is defiantely a work of art. I wish that i had the time and the skill to do things like this.
