MrsCrzy and I are starting to get 92-99 fever. So we decided to see what the local marketplace had to offer today.

1995 SE, 215k on the clock, body condition about a 7 on a scale from 1-10. Car is dark blue, with a black trunklid? Crack in spoiler. Motor sounds like its running on 3 cylinders, oil is really high on the dipstick and really THICK. Check engine light on. Didnt drive it, dealer says it needs a cat converter. I think I posted about this one before. Price under 1k. Interior is nice and clean. Can pretty much plan on needing another engine with the way that oil looked. Dealer is well liked in this town.

1993 SE, Bubble butt, white, 263k! Leather interior, some cracks in the drivers seat, interior mostly clean but needing TLC. Radio broke. Drove good and tight for the mileage, water pump making noise, transmission flawless. He came down to 1800 for us from 2500, asked us for a cash offer. We werent ready to give one just yet. Havent heard any good or bad about this dealer, low pressure and friendly though.

1998 SSEi, black with black leather, 1 owner, body easily a 9, interior easily a 9, 104k miles, price, more than we wanna spend Dealer is well liked. Noisy supercharger or alternator, couldnt tell which.

So looks like we keep searching. The 263k mileage one doesnt scare me too much, but I won't drop a lot of money for the high mileage beast. I still see plenty of these cars on the road around here, but never one to be had unless its just about used up. So what does that say about how much people like thier Bonnevilles?

Id hit the 98. You will LOVE it. I know its a lot of money but be persistant with the negotiations. Ask around here for some good negotiating tactics. The SSEi'* go fast so if you consider too long it may be gone.

The noise you hear is probably the worn coupler. Its a DIY job that will mayby take a couple of hours for the novice. Im planning to do mine this Spring.
