Seatbelt replacement
I just found the site while cruising the net looking for details on how to replace my front passenger side retactable seat belt. During a particularly bad thunderstorm recently my 11 year old Golden Retriever jumped in the car window and chewed the seat belt in half. The owner'* manual doesn't explain how to take out the old one and replace the new one and I hate to pay the dealer to do it. I can't find the information on-line (or at least I haven't searched long enough to find it.) Where do I start? Any information would be appreciated. I have a '99 Bonne with 108,000 miles on it. (Did 100 mph when the odometer passed 100,000. Never drove that fast in my life but I think the car could have handled much more. One of my friends asked if I"d try 200 mph at 200,000. Doubt I'll have her that long.)

Ive never replaced one befor but you should look into getting a Repair maual from a local auto parts store...about 20 bucks or so, it will explain in fair detail how to do it, as for the seat belt its self you will either have to try tracking down a Bonneville in a Junk yard and removing the seat belt your self, or buying a new one from the dealer, it looks as if it would be a fairly easy job to do, just make sure all the bolts are touqued down to spec because obviously the seat belt is a very critical part of your car.
