Default Spring maintenance day

Lots of done on the car today. Weather was ok but did get rained out twice :?

Coolant flush (prestone), remove hoses and back flush, flush overflow tank, replace upper and lower rad hoses, replace heater hoses, new rad cap, 160* stat, fill 50/50 with prestone.
The flush got out a lot of crud after 150,000 miles.

Fuel filter. it was do.

All 4 idler pulleys, dayco 89006 x 2, 89007, 89009 and new accessory belt

Power steering fluid flush and replace with Lucas fluid.

New headlights high and low beam, phillips night view.

Have a slow leak in the drivers side rear I need to get looked at tomorrow. Also I have a few goodies from Intense that might be in

How hard the heater hoses to get to on yours?
I've got the flush planned for this week or next to and looking at those on my 98 didn't make my day...LOL

The upper was a piece of cake, the lower rad connection was tough to get to but with the belts and tensioner pulley out of the way it made it easier.
I had to twist pretty good to break the seal on all the hoses with the hose clamps held back.
Heater hoses are easy on a 2k.

I got my new 3.5 pulley and new belt today, I can start tuning in earnest now, hope it drys up outside though. Got a deal on the tire repair (sheet metal screw) 4 tire balance and rotate for $20 cash......nice and smooth now.

The 3.3 is too much for pump gas and will use it at the track this summer.

Things I still have are, original battery....wcbf replacement? Seat heaters, both are dead, new exhaust system from the flex pipe back, have all parts. Radio and steering wheel lights and remove EGR valve and block of rear header port and lim port.

Purrs like a kitten, loudest thing under the hood at idle is injector tick

76 more days......I counted

So my lap top is still down and I called a friend to borrow hers tomorrow....she cant but could tonight. I grabbed my discs and cables and headed over with the car running great with the new 3.5.
I started with a Speed density tune then I tuned the Maf. I used Eddies Table Modifier Thingy from dhp tuner forum to make all changes.

First I unplugged the Maf and reset the fuel trims.
I logged LTFT, STFT, MAP, RPM, KR, TEMP, SPEED
I then drove out to the junction about 20 miles easing into the throttle no more than 50% and no more than 60mph up and down as I went.
I pulled into the rest area and saved the file and used eddies program to modify the VE_BIN, LTFT, STFT and reloaded the saved file, reset fuel trims and plugged back in the Maf.

I then Logged MAP, IAT, IPW, KR, MAF, O2, RPM, LTFT, STFT, SPARK, TP%, FUEL CELL.
I then drove again softly up to 50% throttle for about 10 minutes, I had to unplug the aerofroce to plug in the dhp and was hard to see the laptop as it scrolled along but I did manage a few wot pulls and 70% pops with no kr.
I saved the file when I got home and again used eddies tables to re write the maf table. Reloaded the program and reset the fuel trims. This time I logged it all

I rolled out of town nice and easy for the first 10 minutes to let the pcm learn the fuel tables. I rounded a corner onto a nice long straight stretch and punched it YEE HAW.......What a difference!!!
I saved the log once I got out to the rest area and put away the lap top and hooking the aeroforce back up.

I put the aeroforce on KR and Manifold pressure and headed back (left a bit of rubber behind :P )......zero kr and 8.9lbs of boost max.......ltft were -0.5......IPW 16ms.....22* timing

I can still do better with the maf but thats enough for tonight and the car is just Evil so far

Sounds like a lot of work (or play). Can't wait to start making my changes. Like you said it is going to be easier for me since there are all the test platforms out there now.

By the way, did you get the right TB adapter yet?
