Why do snow tires spin so easy?
I finally got my DUNLOP M3 Wintersport tires installed. They werent doing much good in the garage.
gave it gas, and 20ft of tire was left in the tire place'* parking lot
I figured with super soft rubber these tires would be less likely to spin on dry pavement.
The rubber on these tires is like bubble gum, 10,000 miles is normal from them i guess.
why do they spin so easy? I'm talking at WOT it will screech on the 1-2 shift on cement roads.

Soft compound yes, but I'm thinking the contact patch/tread isn't optimized for dry pavement; they're knobbier tires that have less surface area touching the ground?
Another part of winter tires isn't just snow/ice traction, but also the ability to maintain the grip in colder temps. example, summer tires in ubercold weather (not snow) = uber dangerous

I think it'* a combo of the fact they are new tires and as stated they have less contact with road surface because of tread design. Kind of like mud tires, had a set on my jeep that when they were new I could put down rubber through the first 3 gears.

Winter tires arent meant for the dry, they're designed for wet, cold, ice, slush and snow. I break traction to easily with my winter tires.
