Default light bulb question *QUICK REPLY NEEDED*

so i cleared my corners last night, bought some high temp grey paint and coated amber bulbs with it [one coat] and left it sitting overnight before putting it in. when i checked the bulbs out to make sure them worked, i noticed some smoke or something coming off one of the lights. my concern is: does the high temp paint hold in heat? id hate to have one of my bulbs [or both of them] explode because i used the wrong paint. should i be concerned?

btw, i put this post in the detailing/appearance forum, but i need a quick reply. sorry guys and gals
