It'* not one of the main +00 trunk leaks, It was coming it from the welds actually on the trunk. Maybe some underneith the trunk rubber seal. The dealer ended up clear siliconing lots of the welds/trouble spots.

When I got home took it to DI"Y car wash and just sprayed water on the trunk for 5 minutes. Had little dribble after that, not much to worry about cause I was spraying High pressure right into the water channels and only got couple drips, but still.

So I ended up using 4 tubes of Marine clear Silicone and went over eveything the dealer did plus more. Than layed in the trunk and Sealed up EVERYTHING!!! than I did it again the next day to make 100% sure no water will get in now.

Only bad part is that I now have Silicone visable when the trunk is open. I plan on cutting the excess off and but one more thick layer and smooth it all out, Might even do the other side to make it match and to ensure leak free on the other side too.

Yeah, the reason this was discovered was because I realized that my subs where barley tapping the back of my seats at high voulmes with 23mm of excersion, started making a noise in the sub. Over the last couple months I thought I was getting more rattles, but I tracked it down to the subs themselves making a noise.

So got the shop to replace them at no cost 2 10w7'*, When they were doing this they spotted this watter damage. There was also some rust on the connections of the MB Quart crossovers, these I bought off ebay but the good guys swaped them out for me, other than that, the floor and right wall is rotten.

My box had to be moved back 1in. so pretty sure most of the trunk panels will be recut and carpeted. Can't wait for that bill.

Also getting my optima battery sealed and than vented to comply with MECA and IASCA stereo install rules. Extra points for me.

I agree 100%, its BS in my opinion, most Bonnevilles ive seen have this problem, usualy starts with a gross stench.
I have not experience trunk leakage, yet.
