Ya...what he said!!

The only 15 year old Ford I know of is our 1989 Crown Victoria LTD...5.0L V8 land yacht with a fog horn...heheh

No rust on it, but the rod on the 7 cylinder is broken..she fires only on 7 of 8 cylinders

You guys are close on your taurus info, AFAIK the progression is SE, SES then SEL
the SES has the option of the Duratech 200 horsepower engine, the SEL comes stock with the duratech. To my knowledge there is no Taurus LX, though there is a emmisions-package FFV engine with 105 horsepower (or there-abouts)

Don't let me fool you though, the taurus is really nothing to be afraid of, top end they are sluggish and low-end dont really have enough torque to get it done. After long trips in a taurus you end up with a "Sore ***" not a Tore ***

They're no slouch, but if you get traction you should walk all over them...

(my beater is a taurus, 155 horsepower model)

Watch out for my beast though this POS Ford Rustang will walk all over most bonnevilles I'll see on the road

Default New Taurus VS LeSabre

As for taurus' running forever, i can vouge for that. My friend bought a 88 or 89 torass and it'* got 500,000 miles on the odimeter. He bought it for a couple hundred and it'* real slow but 500,000 miles, that'* a lot. Were not sure if the engine tanny were rebuilt or how many times they were due to the couple hundred dollar price tag....
