P3 1GHz; 512 MB RAM; ASUS CUVX MB with VIA Chipset; Sound Blaster Live Value; Radeon 7200 64 MB DDR VIVO; Netgear 310 10/100 NIC; Creative 12x DVD, Plextor 40x12x40 CD-RW; WD 40 GB EIDE HD; IBM 36.7 SCSI U160 HD on Adaptec 29160 SCSI host controller. Runs: Windows XP Professional & Red Hat Linux 7.2 (dual boot and VMware: I used to triple boot with 2000, but I never used 2000 on my desktop after I got my laptop) Thats mine, my network server is a cheap Pii-350 and can barely handle W2k Srvr. Laptop is puny Celeron 700, but its enough to do homework and some coding. My family has several other PCs on my network, hence the server.

Multiple PC'* here too. Most used is my Dell Inspiron 8000 Laptop, at 850 Mhz P3. My server sounds almost like dethrats system, AMD 1.2 GHz, 2 hard drives - 40 gig Maxtor & 20 Gig Maxtor, and 80 Gig USB NEO for the MP3'*

Old 4x Bruner in the server, newest 8x in the 8000. Also have a Inspiron 4000 sitting here doing NOTHING, brand new as of a year or so ago. 500 Mhx celeron. Might get a Jotto desk Http://www.jottodesk.com and make that the bonnevilles PC.
With autotap Http://www.autotap.com, and rand McNally'* GPS software: http://www.randmcnally.com/rmc/products/gps/gpsHome.jsp I could have a nice little in-car PC. Probably wouldnt even need the NEO besides for the 80 gigs of storage (laptop only had 5 I think), because I could run winamp right off the laptop, into the input jacks of my Pioneer.

Just a idea I've been pondering
