Default Tire sizes

My tire size is P225/60R/16. My :?: is that I am not sure what the height, length and width is. Is 225 the width 60 the thickness and I already now that 16 is the size of the rim and tire. The reason I'm asking is because I want wider tires and I wanted to know if I was correct.

Yep... you hit it on the head... the only thing you have to worry about is if the rim would match up.. and the speed rating on the new tires.

Ok. Right now I got these grandma Eagle GA'* that the new Intrepids use and man they suck. Good as far as touring but trying to bend a couple of corners I wouldn't suggest an amature to do it. I miss my Eagle LS. They got bald and I was going to price some RS.A'* out. No.1 Goodyear told me I would waste my money because they would see me in 2 years because the tread wear is not that great(plus the way I drive) andthat its not a good all around tire even though they have M+* on them. They are good for cornering. 2nd I got a deal with a friend and he gave me a full set of the Eagle GA'* for $150. CAN'T BEAT THAT

Can;t go wrong for that price... it will keep more money in your pocket until later on. I would be worried about the speed rating since I believe they only come with 180- 190 KMH max rated on Intrepid ( don't quote me on it ). But it will tie you over for the winter.. and you can always keep them around for winter tires...

I don't know... roughly 100 miles ?? I know you need a speed rated "H" tires which will do 210-220 kmh... which I guess is a little over 120 miles..

P = Passenger Tire
225 = 225 MM in tread width
60 = sidewall height as compared to tread width (60% of 255)
R = Radial
16 = 16" Rim

Hey DeathRat, the width is not measured in centimetres it'* millimetres 225 CM would be as wide as the whole car! Now that'* a tire!
