Default might be going bubblebutt

so i took the spoiler off my car to clean out that area and while it off i happened toclose the turnk and press the turnk release and FWOOSH the trunk flew all the wayopen, with thespoile ron it barely cracks when i open it, that is really convenient sinc ei use the turnk open and dont like having to actually open it even tho ialreayd opened it if ukno wut imean so i mgih tjust bondo the holes and mycar needs a new paint job anyway

Can you not adjust the tension so that it opens like you want it too?

Why not just replace your tired tension rods, or adjust them if you still have a notch available?

because its easier to bondo, strip and paint the trunk, then to push them rods up a notch.
