I have a confession to make...
After Not having my Aurora for a week because my brother has it while I'm getting things on his 2000 SLE fixed I have a confession to make... I have started to REALLY like driving the Bonneville! I drove the SSEi two days this week putting about 100 miles on it, and I've put probably 200 on the SLE. I just love how you barely touch the gas pedal and the cars take off. and the 3800 is SMOOTH! The DOHC engines in the Aurora are not so smooth in their power delivery. The 3800 will just glide along. I also love the cockpit like interior at night. The orange lights are nice. I also love how the powerband is so flat. you don't have to rev the engine to near redline to get great acceleration.. with the Aurora it doesn't accelerate fast until i get over 4,000 RPM then it takes off like a bat outta he*l. The Bonneville just has that torque I love so much. Pointless post, yes. Just thought I'd confess my love for the 3800 and the bonneville. I still like the Aurora because of the nicer interior, but I love the sporty spirit of the bonneville.
I would look into getting an SSEi but it'd have to have the updated interior and that wasn't even available until 2003. The 2003'* are out of my price range.. Ah well, can't have it all can we? :( I was brought to the darkside as many here have put it (the Aurora side) but the Bonneville is fighting back.

I shouldve taken the torque of the L67 into consideration when buying my car. I dont even drive highway, and the power isnt there til 4k. But when it is there, OH BOY its like lighting a rocket. Plus the V8 sound is always there, which i really enjoy anyway. Oh well.
