Default What air pressure are you running in your tires?

I am interested for the 2000 and up models with stock size rims and tires. That don't have to be the original tires, just the same size.

I ask this because I am getting ready to try and see if adjusting the air pressure some will have any effect on the shimmy I have. I had a slow leak in my right front tire and I found my shimmy a lot worse when it got a little low (around 20 psi). Funny I always thought with a tire low on air it would pull not make the car shake. I over inflated it a little...to 35psi and the shimmy seemed to be gone. I did however still feel a little feedback in the wheel while turning at high speeds under moderate throttle.

what pressures have you tried and how did it effect your ride?

Thanks

Edit: Also post the recommended pressure stamped on the drivers door jamb. Mine is 30 front and rear and the tire size is 235/55/17

I always run 32-34psi. No more, no less.

Same here... fill to32 if cold... 34 if hot. Note: air pressure directly affects your gas mileage. I realized I had a slow leak when I started getting bad gas mileage. I'm not sure what happens to gas mileage if you over inflate, but it will affect the way the tire wears...it will unevenly wear the tread of your tire and you'll get a balding spot in the center of the tire.

Have you recently rotated your tires by chance?

There brand new. The leak I had was from the bead not sealing. I just got that fixed this morning and I've been running 30 all the way around, since I bought the car a few months ago. I'm hopeful that if I increase the air pressure all the way around it will have some positive effect on the high speed vibration.

Reccommended tire pressure varies by tire and manufacturer. Not by year of manufacture of the car.
