weird 1995 SSEI
i was in the yard the other day- getting parts for my ECC woes- and I came accross a weird SSEi. It was a white 1995- with a black cloth interior, no power seats at all- all manual, the center console buttons were deleted, it had a moon roof- but no electronic climate control- and all the shift options including trac were missing. Ive never seen one with such stripped down options- but yet it had a moon roof. Ive also never seen a charcoal cloth or charcoal interior for that year- can anyone confirm this?

Charcoal was used that year (started in 1994 or 1995) , but dual power seats were standard. Makes me wonder if this was a special one-off car. :?

yes Bill thats what I thought too- its was ALL manual. I wish I had my camera- this would have been interesting to take a few pics of. I was blown away- then there were two manual adjusters on the drivers seat :?

It'* probably that someone in the situation I have with my 94 got sick of electronic seat issues and went to any seats he could get. My driver'* side seat doesn't move except for up and down, back and forth, and switching to the passenger seat keeps the driver'* side moving with no action with the passenger seat. I can't say I'm not tempted to "fix" this. Because of this severe frustration (work in progress), I can see how the owner of that car could have gone to a jy and gotten some functional seats. Plus, not all SSEis are special cars to their owners, and the guy must have chosen pragmatism over SSEiness.

Are you sure it wasnt one of those rare supercharged SE'*? My 95 SE has the charcoal cloth interior with column shift and a drivers side power split bench seat. Power windows and locks are about the only options. It is a basic package (rental unit) and I like it like that. Less gadgets and gizmos to go haywire.

all very good points on these options here.
Randonthegreat- thats is a good point- but everything in the interior matched including the headliner, carpet and all the seating. There is always the possibility- but this would have been a lot of work to do.
Maymybonnelive forever- Standard auto wreckers in scarborough...I can give u more info on a PM
Dude-
Its definitly not one of the rare SC SE'*. Its trimmed out like an SSEi with all the emblems and body cladding. but either way- a rare care indeed. Would have been intetresting to see it unsmashed and intact...but also a good point about the options..
Keep the thoughts comming...
