my dad is thinking off trading his 1990 SHO for 1999 Aurora
what do you guys think off this will my dad have the same ride whit this new car
it is a 4.0 v8 HOW DOES this compare to the 1990 Frod SHO

Even the auto SHO is faster than the Aurora but the Aurora is a lot more technically innovative and luxurious.
The 5 speed SHO can do 0-60 in 6.6 sec and the quarter at about 95 mph. The auto is about 1 sec slower.
The Aurora is a lot heavier car and posts about an 8 sec 0-60 run. An SSEi is faster.
If I was your Dad, I would go with the Aurora. It'* a better car and with a few mods can be just as fast.
Besides, the Taurus is a Ford.

Yes...stock for stock, SHO is faster then SSEi and Aurora.
Modded an SSEi can be faster then an SHO.
An Aurora has a 4.0L V8 putting down 250HP at the crank with 260 tq, but it has a VERY restricted exhuast. Open it up a bit and it can keep up with an SSEi (stock) if you mod a Bonnie with an SC its all over
As for toys it cannot be beat, oh and if you go with the Aurora, take a look at the Autobahn performance package, otherwise its an old fart car....lots toys, but you want some go

QQX is an RPO code...
Its the Autobahn package, includes V-rated Michelin tiresm 3.71:1 gear transaxle ratio. And governed at 140 mph, so what you see on the speedo is what you get
