It shouldn't be that hard. Do you need pics of it already installed?

It can be dangerous.......but this opens up a thought. Who'* game for a test-fit? I might be willing to unload and re-load one on the Zilla this weekend to get an idea of what you're up against. I've never done one before.

to my current knowledge, its a piece of metal twisted until it has enough resistance for it to become like a spring and it is used to help raise and hold the trunk deck lid in place. am i correct? i think so...

i have done it....i have released the torsion bars when i did my amps on the decklid.....i tryed to reinstall them to the factory setting afterwards....and then to a stronger tension......OMG......do not try this without the correct tool (that my dad had from the GM dealer) or at least VERY thick walled pipe .....

when you take the bar out of the notch....the bar will try and suck you into the trunk lid, at a VERY high rate of speed

YOU CAN HURT YOURSELF VERY BAD......i would say that the bars that come from the factory setting are under at least 100-150 LBS of pressure...you need at least that to get them back in the notches

again please be careful if you dont have the proper equipment or are not strong
