Default Flywheel question ??

Got a motor from a 94 b-ville SSEI to replace my tired 88 series 1 a while back, and A new custom flywheel balanced to match the flexplate. Decided to use a series 2. Can I use the series 1 eight bolt flywheel with a series 2 or3 motor and will it need rebalanced? Thanks

Possibly one of our other members may have an insight regarding the use of an series1 eight bolt flywheel, with a series 2 or 3 engine.

This statement has me confused, you already have a 3800 engine in your Porche.

Found the answer on sinister performance tech section. Yes it will bolt up but it needs to be rebalanced.... I think I read somewhere that they used the lightweight S2 crank in the transitional year or so in the L67 S1 tall deck hence the 8 bolt pattern. Any way
Thanks for reading my post.
I want to build a killer motor as I need Hi RPM for the porsch trannie. 6800 RPM=198mph I want to hit 200. Yes Im crazy but Im 62 , could be demented. Who knows?

GM engineers pushed a standard issue 2000 Bonneville SSEi over 200 MPH at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah. And they weren't revving up to 6800.

Good luck finding parts for a 3800 that will survive that RPM.
