I got a lot of things finished over my long weekend.

The Boost Gauge (Top) lights up white and the Voltmeter and Oil Pressure both light up red.

I finally got pictures of my rear STB taken

And finally, a complete waste of time

That is on my trunk liner. No one will ever see it, but I felt it to be a necessary addition

Looks great. Very nice work.

Looks great. You 2000 up guys are lucky you get a free gauge mount in that vent

Awesomeness. I'm really interested in your rear STB. When my car was new I posted a vid here of me trying kicking the rear end out cornering, FWD drifting. LOL. The car definately lacked rear stabilty at high speed cornering. At one point the rear was airborne. Can you discern any difference with it on?

Black Pearl 09-12-2009 10:55 PM

A HUGE difference. The car is glued to the road. I took a 45mph cloverleaf at 75 and felt confident doing it. I didnt know exactly how sloppy the car was 'till I got both STBs on

Sloppy, yet not bad for a 2 ton Sedan. I found the Vid. Back a few years back, I was invited to show the car at a Premier of Tokyo Drift. Along with alot of other cars from my Custom Car Club/Shop.

The next weekend a member came down to see the car and after a couple beers we tried to powerslide it. It really showed the lack of rear stability. Of course, this was on private property.

I liked the way it handled stock or I wouldn't have bought it. There is a balance between handling and comfort the car sits on, I've shifted mine a scoche more to the handling side

2 questions.

Where did you get those carbon fiber inserts, i know there from a gxp jc where you got em.
How did you make that pillar?

Black Pearl 09-13-2009 10:21 PM

I knew a guy who was parting out his GXP. The pods were made w/ alot of fiberglass and bodywork. I used an old tri-pod and the factory a-pillar

I Like It, I Like It A Lot.
