Default Found Something Weird

I was working on fixing a 440 code today and ran into this thing. What is it?

Looking into the engine bay from the driver'* side. You can see the hole for the charcoal canister and the horn. The object in question is that white thing sticking out in "front" of the horn.


This is an upside-down picture of it. I was leaning into the engine bay here.


Here is what the bottom of it looks like.


The wires and connector that lead to/from it.

That is the DRL resistor that reduces headlight voltage during daytime driving. If you want to disable DRL'*, simply unplug it.

I thought I'd have to cut the wires because I didn't look into it. Thanks for posting this! I just went out and disconnected the resistor. Not only is that awesome, but you could probably gather a few of these resistors and use them for a few other projects. They're really nice! Thanks again for the connector pic.
