Cadillac sedan de ville
I was on my way to the hardware store with a buddy and we get stopped at a red next to a couple guys in about there mid 40'*. I said to my buddy "I wanna race a caddy", so I give a couple revs to get his attention. Him and his buddy look over with big smiles on there faces then the driver grabs is shifter on the tree and slams it down. My friend says holy **** hes gonna race. We were pretty geeked at that point I had never raced against a sedan before. So we get the green and we must have both hammered on it because we just sat there for a sec spinning the tires, we both got traction at about the same time but I got away from him, we went till about 110 then I let off about 2-3 cars ahead of him. I slowed and let him get beside me and they both give the thumbs up. That was for sure one of my funnest kills.

Killed a Northstar. Don't tell Jim.
They built those things too damn heavy! I owned one (as in purchased) for a very short period of time. They're impressive for such a heavy car. Good kill, and great way to end it. Mutual admiration!

sedan deville.......was it the "newer" 93+ style? or the older style? both styles came with the 4.9, the newer style only had the northstar if it was the "concours" edition.
maybe it was the northstar too, but that car would have been playing serious catch up in the high rpms if you took him off the line. if you just slowly and slowly put distance on him, id think it was the 4.9, which is more of a torquer motor like the */c 3.8. id think if it was a northstat you would have taken him off the line, but he'd be catching up real quick starting around 40, those things breath up top. then again thats the 300hp northstar, the 275hp one in the base models built after like 95 was more of a torquer than a high rpm one.
any ideas on the year? did it have skirts over the back tires? 32v northstar emblem? lots of engine options for a couple years
