Low Traction light
Hello, I'm new to this forum and not sure if I'm doing this post correctly. Could someone please help me out. I have a 2000 Bonneville SSEi, the low traction light comes on for about 5 seconds and the car seems to pull a bit to the left ever so slightly and just for the 5 seconds.
I replaced the left front hub assembly (because the wheel baring was starting to go) with a Delco second line hub made in China, it lasted approx. 2 months and then this problem developed. I had it scanned and the left front sensor in that replaced hub was jumping all over on the scanner, but not all the time. But the other sensors remained at zero.
So I replaced it again this time with the OEM Delco which was 296.00 made in USA vs the 190.00 made in China one.....but it does the low traction light and it'* more stronger pull and I think the left front wheel brake is coming on slightly for those few seconds when the low traction light is on. So again I replaced it with a new 296.00 Delco hub but again right away it is doing the same thing. Hub torque on nut 115 and no impact was used.
Can someone please tell me if there is anything else I can do to solve this problem, also the connection is not corroded and the wiring is excellent, I even buoght a $20 tube of special electrical connection grease, there was no sign of water in the plug-in connection when I first took it apart. I looked at the 50amp Maxi Fuse and it seem to have a bit of different color then the others, right now I'm driving with the fuse out.
There is all new brakes rotors calipers replaced 3 months ago, I never had the ABS light or the traction off light come on once through all this, only the low traction light for the few seconds as explained. All the lights do work as they all light up on start up.
Thank you for any help that can be provided, I hope I'm doing this right

Not sure what you mean on meshing, if you mean flooring it, I'm not........this happens under normal driving even to my wife, my wife will not even drive the car with the fuse in as it scares her. Thanks
Hope you have another solution

Ok then.. Trying to drive normally, one wheel spins and the other doesn't move. Hmmmmm
If you jack up the car, put it in neutral and try spinning the wheels by hand, can you spin each? Does the opposite wheel turn? Does it turn in the opposite direction than you are turning?

Okay with the car engine off an in netraul I did spin both wheels seperately
and the opposite wheel did not move at all.......now with the engine on in
nuteral with the fuse in place both wheels spin forward on their own, I can
stop either wheel from spining but it dosen't effect the other wheel as it
keeps spining......Thanks

Yes I have to agree with you my symptoms are odd and I'm very frustrated, however now after changing 4 hub assenblies, I can remove one in 20 minutes and replace with new one in 40 minutes with out using my air tools, they call for 2 hrs charge at GM dealer @ $80.00 per hr - $160.00 plus 13% taxes
Thanks, Hope you are still working and not given up on resolving my problem
