I heard her engine going, but the car couldn't keep up.

he never said they actually did it, they did the math to figure it out. Theoretically it can go 150 miles an hour. Look at it this way, when your car is in Overdrive and in lockup mode, RPMS are influenced totally by speed. So, at 55 MPH the engine is at 1,500 RPM, and at 70 MPH it is at 2,000 RPM. So, theoretically with every 15 MPH increase in speed, you gain 500 RPM.

55-1,500
70-2000
90-2500
105-3000
130-3500
145-4000
160-4500

My numbers may be a little off, but you get the idea. I read somewhere that the bonneville was able to go 170 in its stock form, with the supercharger. (governor disabled) They tested it on a nascar track actually I think.

The SC might help a lot with that, but HP is what you need at those speeds, not torque. There was a slightly modded 2k+ bonnie that has the fastest FWD production car title. Hows that for something about yoiur car. It went a lil over 200 i believe. These things can haul!

I've personally tested my car to 75% of that speed, +1mph. Is that vague enough?
