Default 2000 Buick Parkavenue Ultra

I need to find out some info on the 2000 Buick ParkAvenue Ultra. My mechanic is selling one with about 68K miles. It seems like a sleeper. How does it compare to the 1999 SSEi? Is it faster? Any comments? Thanks.

I doubt that it'* faster than a SSEi because it'* bigger and heavier. Personally, I like the PA. It has a much softer ride than the SSEi but you gotta remember who it'* targeted for. People like me (over 50) that want a softer ride and care more for how it rides on the Interstate and not for any hard cornering. It has a real nice truck (20 cu. ft.) for family of four'* luggage when going on vacation. The backseat legroom is about 1 timezone behind the front seat and can't be beat.

I'll move this to General Chat since it is Bonneville related. And you'll likely get more replies.

the PA Ultra is a C body...its ALLLLLMOST the same as the H.....alot of parts cross over...the C is a bigger (heavier) body...but the PA does have a way nicer (softer) ride than the H bodies....some of the PA'* have really nice interior features

The PA is an amazing car, we test drove an Ultra a few years back, lap of comfort and luxury, typical top end Buick

My dad actually owned a 1993 PA Ultra before he bought his 2000 SSEi. When comparing it to mine, the Ultra'* handling wasn't as good, the interior wasn't as nice IMO, and it wasn't quite as sporty. Overall though, they are very similar cars and a great choice.

think of it this way I ricer is going to be even more annoyed when you pass him in the 1/4 mile in a Park Avenue. If the car is in good shape and its a fair price I don't see why not ot buy it. And now you will have a L67 to mod .
