Converting from dexcool to green coolant?
have you guys done anything special or had to watch out for anything while converting to green coolant? i haven't had any specific dexcool problems as of yet, but i'm due for a coolant flush and wouldnt wanna rpess my luck

Consider going to Prestone long live dex cool compatible. It'* still red and will not cause a brown goo if any dexcool is hiding in your system.
I removed and flushed through the heater hoses, into engine block and radiator...however..you still can't guarantee you got it all..unless you fill and run for a while a couple times

Prestone and others also sell a flush kit, where you install a "T" in the heater hose to which you hook up a garden hose to flush it out. If you want green coolant, you may want to consider the "all makes/all models" antifreeze. Prestone and others make that, also. It has a green color, and is compatible with Dex.
As Bill said, you have to be certain to remove ALL of the Dex before going back to the old green stuff, which is quite time consuming. Either of these options take care of that problem.
