jacked up truck i wanna race

there is a jacked up z-71 in my trailer park. this guy has everything at least on the exterior, this truck has at least 35 inch mudders and everything else on his truck. im not sure what he has in the motor though but i would imagine he has some money in it. anybody think i could beat him he has a mid 90's z71

you should beat him.

SSsuperchargedEi 12-21-2003 11:24 AM

it really depends what he's got under the hood, it could be potentially quick... :?:

The big 'n' tall tires will slow him down quite a bit, especially off the line. Take him :)

I choose not to say anything about how you would do, because it could have anything under the hood.

Here is some food for thought before you race him though: Last time I was at the track, and pretty new looking 3/4 ton 4X4 Duramax Diesel Chevy pickup pulled in pulling a trailer behind it. The trailer had the guys race car and everything in it. Then I noticed his truck wasn't around the trailer anymore, and then I further observed that it was in the staging lanes. So then it gets up to the line, smokes all four tires launching and ran a low 12 at like 110mph or something like that. The guy did this a few times when he wasn't running his racecar. Then at the end of the day he put his racecar in the trailer, and put the trailer back on the truck, and went home. He had a chip, exhaust, intake, and propane on that truck, along with a few other miscellanious things. It looked 100% stock, but obviously was very fast.

This is just to let you know, you can't judge a book by its cover. Just because it is a pickup that doesn't look fast, doesn't mean it isn't. It probably isn't as fast as your Bonneville, but it easily could be, so definately don't expect to beat him unless you find out what is under the hood of that thing.

Just my $.02.

this one looks fast and i think he has a 350, if not he may have a 400 im almost sure he doesnt have the 454, because he doesnt have any badges on it

Sheesh!! Transfer case lasts two runs...LOL!!!

any smart guy with mudders has built a engine to with stand alot so what imean is he must have allot of torque and hp just stereotypeing tho

The Z71 comes stock with the 5.7liter (350). Very few, if any in the mid-90's were built with anything else. If it's a Vortec, I can tell you that even stock, he'll put up a fight with a stock 93 SSEi. My 98 Z71 has many kills under it's belt, slightly modded.

He'll have the advantage of traction if he knows what he's doing.

kid at my school has a jacked up truck, big tires etc etc the tires arn't huge mudders, but there pretty big

anyway, he ran a 13.8 a month back at the strip, i was like holy ****! his isn't your average truck though. i say race him and find out!
