ionic breeze in the car?

ive heard these tihngs dont work well in large areas but they do work well in small spaces, and a car is a small space and i was tihnking about getting one for mine cuz the air that comes out of em does smell good, does anyone else have oen for the car and does it work?

dbeast420 02-28-2005 05:21 AM

Careful with that......I had a generic one in mine and after having it on too long.it will give ya a headache!!!!!!

NERV 02-28-2005 06:00 AM

ooo... on second thought, an ionic breeze in the car is kinda pointless since its always gettng new air from the vents

May be better if you have a smoker vehicle or something? I don't know exactly what an Ionic Air thinger does anyways,

I have one in the Reatta and it works well. I know it is a smaller interior but it cleans and the generic ones can't be cleaned! I like it and was well worth the 40.00. no more airfresheners needed.

NERV 02-28-2005 04:00 PM

well then perhaps after my bonneville dont work no more and i have a del sol (dont laught)

Don't you still have you're new car smell? I do. I don't like air fresheners. You are talking about you're SSEi right? Allmactiger SP?, has a 98' SSEi and it still has a rich leather smell.

NERV 02-28-2005 06:11 PM

mine still has the nice leather smell and i want to keep it, the ionizers purify the air instead of filling it with perfumes like other air fresheners

i question it's effectiveness in a car tho, since when u drive with the cc on the air gets replaced, plus beast said he got a headache from it, i dont tihnk ill get one unless theres actually something in the car that smells

fantastic88 02-28-2005 06:32 PM

Yo're car will keep its new car smell as long as you keep it vacumed and clean. :D

Take it apart and build it into the intake after the blower motor.... air will arrive purified... (youll have to clean it more often, but it will be more effective.)

Im not sure if they are high-flow capable so you might want to put two inline.

yah to really get this thing to work you would have to have the air recycled and not drawn in all of the time. I could see how it could be nice on long trips but I really dont think I would invest in something like that.
