TODDSTER as for tuning it was done by the owner, which been playing with 3800'* for a while.. i still didnt see the car because its 450km away.. i still didnt get the chance to go see it.. but been talking to him for over a month now and im going hopefullly monday to see it... or whenever the weather gets a little better... its -28*f as we speak :(
but thanks everyone.. it looks like a very very nice car.. it was painted this summer.. and everything is still fresh... stored in a garage at the moment... all it needs to have the intercooler FMHE mounted in the front.. IC is still not installed.. but he said its tuned damn well...

I'm just barely able to afford some mods because of the 40hr work weeks I've had for the last 2 months. I'm also getting laid off in 2 weeks.

Probably not much you'd be able to tell about the tranny without taking it apart. I'd ask the guy to take it for a drive. You could at least feel if it had any major problems. I have no experience whatsoever with mid-engines though so I'm sure someone else can throw in some more advice on this one.
Other things to look at:
Other things to look at:
- Check every surface for rust (a no-brainer)
- Look to see if factory stickers are missing (Ex: my dad'* tarsus doesn't have any stickers in the front of the engine bay, but has them everywhere else. The car had been in a front-end wreck).
- Check lights, turn signals, brakes and really anything you can that'* powered
- Look over the interior, if it is beat up and wasn't taken care of, chances are the rest of the car wasn't either
