Just a few things...
First, I finally dug in my trunk and found my RPO codes, I was surprised by this one..
DK5 mirrors, O/* LH & RH, remote control electric heated
That'll be nice...nothing worse than trying to scrape ice off of your mirrors!
then, just some general info...
FW2 ratio, transaxle, final drive 3.06
L36 3.8L V6 MFI 3800 II
M13 trans, 4T60-E F31
MX0 trans, merchandised, overdrive (merchandised?)
FE1 Suspension, soft ride (standard?)
UX7 extended range speaker system (huh?)
But then I found this one:
AU0 lock control, remote entry
Which I find odd, because I have an aftermarket keyless installed (came that way)
Any input?
Also, what'* this mystery wire?
Thanks!

Hmmm...after market keyless? Even my 95 SE had the keyless factory. Do you have remote start or an after market remote? Might explain that.
THe heated mirrors would be nice.
I think that wire may be for the seats if you had the AL7'*. That is where the controls for them are, so that I would guess that is what the wire is for.
I could be way off too . :?

Sorry, to clarify, it'* a cheap $50 box that the guy before me had installed...or installed himself...I don't even know what brand it is, there'* nothing on the remote or box under the dash, but it'* remote lock/unlock, panic, and trunk release.
I'd rather use the factory if it has all those features, I don't get sh*t for range on this remote, maybe 10 feet :(

That remote may be a replacement for a lost factory remote..
Does that * button set the panic feature off on the car?
You may not have heated mirrors.. Thats my mistake that I need to correct in the RPO listing..
The only ones on the Bonnevilles I have seen that were heated were Blue tinted..
AU0 does mean the car came with Keyless stock..
And I have those wires in the console too.. And plugged it into a switch pod... The pod lights up but does nothing

No, it'* not just a replacement remote...I found the box wired in under the dash...it'* a real cheapie. Doesn't even activate the horn with lock or panic (a seperate relay must be purchased from what I read)
And that'* a big if they're not heated mirrors. There'* def. no blue tint. Ah well.

The connector is for the TCS/perf/norm shifting pod. No doubt there.
The heated mirrors... I have seen a non tinted heated mirror. It was a replacement on an SSEi I bought at one time. I have never noticed any factory mirrors being heated w/o being blue tinted. Easy way to tell though.. get a cold day and turn on your rear defroster. If the mirrors heat..you are in luck.
