Info on 2015 GMC Canyon and Pontiac
 

Hi. I just joined the site and I wanted to know if anyone knows when the 2015 GMC Canyon is supposed to be unveiled? Also, does anyone think Pontiac has any chance of coming back ever? I am a die hard Pontiac fan. I know the govt just sold it's last stake in GM recently so maybe Pontiac is in a better position to return now. I always believed GM would bring it back when they were clear of the govt. If they just let it go forever, I will be surprised and disappointed.

Pontiac is gone. Much like Oldsmobile and countless other brands before it. It is sad but at least some of it still lives on. The new Chevrolet SS is a Pontiac G8. They used the same Holden Commodore platform to make it and therefore G8 parts would be interchangeable.

It would be nice if Pontiac did come back, even better if the first vehicle is an anniversary Bonneville LOL.

just dreams im sure, gm is happy selling suv's and trucks at twice the price as they should than a affordable sporty sedan

The Chevy SS is nice. Makes me think of a Pontiac. But the price is about 45,000 dollars. Pontiac was about affordable performance and if the SS is supposed to be a pontiac replacement, it isnt doing a good job as far as price. GM needs to make up for the loss of pontiac better than it is by making more SS trims on it's cars like the Malibu and Cruze. If they arent going to do that then they should decontent the new SS and lower the price so more people can afford it.
