I think I'm in love .... TEST DRIVE story

Hello, my name is Sol, and I experienced the BOOST today.

I saw an ad for a White 1998 SSEi for sale down the road. My friend said we should go take a look at it. So what the hell, we went down there and looked at it. The salesman came out, and I talked to him about it. The car was in good shape. Had a few paint flaws, and the bumper needs some work, but overall, it's nice lookin. Tan interior, HUD, 5 spoke aluminum wheels, silver SSEi badge. Beautiful!

The salesman let me take out the car. I spent a good half an hour driving it around. Through the city, it drives and feels just like my car. The handling and steering are nice, and it's pretty responsive.

I took it out to the open road, and let her go! Words can hardly describe the experience. I've never driven a supercharged car before. The whine sounded amazing, and the car just pulled. I fell in love with this car today. I really am considering buying it.

I can probably talk the guy down to selling it for 7500. The problem is I can't buy it now. :(

All in all though, this car is amazing. I've never driven a car like that before.

I fell in love with boost the first time I experienced it also, and now I can't go back. People sometimes ask me why we have 4 Forced Induction V6's, and not just V8's making the same amount of power power. I say one, I like V6's, and two the feeling of boost is just AWESOME. Once you feel it, you just want more and more. Its like a drug.

If I ever upgrade to an L67, it'll probably be in a GTP. I like the bonnies, but they are WAY out of my price range. The GTP's are faster, and thats an added bonus. :D

I'll ride in my friends accord at college and he thinks thats fast. I can't wait till i let him ride in the bonnie.

I'd still love a nice big 454 v8 under my hood roaring. Theres nothing like that nascar sound (but with a car that can handle).

My first test drive of a boosted car was a 02 WRX that was modifed. The sound in those cars are crazy, even more so than my L67. In That paticular car you would be cruising along slighlty accerating, and RPMS climb steady than BAMM you get BOOST and thrown into the seat, didn't even push the gas any harder. I mechinic at the dealership was the last owner( previously worked at Subaru and that was his 4th WRX) traded in for GTi 20 anny. Crazy driving WRX and for my first boost drive, My girlfriends uncle has a stock WRX and he let me test drive it and was nothing like that souped up White Wagon WRX. Couldn't buy it though new it was beat on, did run high 12's.

So first WRX, than 03 GTP than +00 ssei's (6 of them) till I found the Right 01 SSEI for me. Almost did buy a new WRX though, than drove new GTP back to back (pontiac-subaru dealer) and just couldn't by the WRX. Stick is nice but traffic sucks, and with the supercharged auto in the GTP, the power was right there, don't need to shift to keep in high rpms all the time for fun. Way too many GTP's by me and I didn't care for the cheepier interior. Love my SSEi.

I've never driven a SSEi yet. Your experience is further making me want to drive one! Sounds like you had fun.

If BOOST is anything like Guiness, I'm in big trouble.
