I don't have the worlds worst sounding exhaust anymore
Anyone that attended either the Michigan meet earlier this year or NEBF '07 remembers that I had the worlds worst sounding exhaust, it rattled, crackled, snapped, and popped.
The whole time I thought it was mainly because I am currently running with no cat, untill I can afford the Magnaflow cat. The car didn't seem to rattle at all untill I removed the cat, so that is what I figured.
I have been planning a new exhaust, flowmaster 80 series and magnaflow hi flow cat, but waiting on money.
Well, sunday I was going to work and I stomped the gas ( as always ) A guy I work with heard me, about 150 yards away, and told me that it sounded like something is loose underneath the car. I finally got tired of the crappy exhaust note on my nice looking car.
SO, I just happen to have a perfectly good exhaust system under my parts car. I remembered that I liked the way that exhaust sounded, a little rumble, no crackle. The only problem is that whoever did the muffler did not use a stock style muffler, rather a single in single out turbo style muffler, so it was only single outlet style.
Monday I ripped the entire exhaust off my parts car and noticed that there was no cat on there either.... oh well, it sounded much better then the exhaust on my car did. When I pulled the exhaust off my car, I noticed where my rattle was coming from.... the muffler sounded like it was full of rocks
So, I now have the entire exhaust system from my parts car from the manifold back on my driving car. I am soooo much happier. still no cat, but no rattle either and a nice tone.
I kept the whole piece from my car and plan to still get my hi flow cat and flowmaster, but that will be a little later.
