Default I got killed. F***

I Got killed by a cop on the way to school. Of all the days to be pulled over, he had to choose the day when I was doing 92mph. Everyone feel to say it, "DUMB ****" Everyone except willwren who I have already heard from. Cop was an ******* to, first offense said he couldn't gime a warning. I have a friend who was street racing and he got a warning. He was doing 80mph in a 25. Why me?

Hey Josh,

First offense that you were actually caught (not first offense by the look of your sidewalls). But the cops never give a warning for 92 in a 55. Usually they will listen to you weasel a story in (just to see if it is good enough to tell the rest of the boys down at the department over dounuts and coffee. They especially don't give teenage boys a brake. Girls, on the other hand, don't get me started on how many times my wife has gotten out of a ticket with a bat of the eyes. Her driving record is perfect, but her driving is anything but.

Sorry to hear about your insurance...er, I mean ticket. Take it easy for a while, they also like to stalk you now that you have been hit with a ticket of that magnatude.

Good luck.

Will DUMBASS work instead!
Same here, been there done that probably got the t-shirt but can't remember, hehe.

He is right about them stalking you now. Once they have a vehicle they keep a CLOSE eye on it.

Good luck!

Must be an Oregon thing. In Michigan, any excuse to increase insurance premiums is fair game.

BTW, I saw in another thread that you and Will removed your fog lights. Why? I think that is what destinguishes the SSE/SSEi from other 'family' cars. I think they are perfectly located (in the front bumper) for that extra aggressive look.

Word of advice: cruise control. Set it on 70 and leave it.

Consider yourself lucky: anything over 85mph in Connecticut will get you arrested for reckless driving (been there, done that, got the mugshot!).

I use the cruise all the time now, so I don't have that temptation (and with gas at $1.60/gal, it'* a lot cheaper too!)

Also dude, don't badmouth the officer. He was just doing his job. Accept it and move on. and if you really don't want to have a ticket on your record, take it to court and talk to the state prosecutor. Usually with it being your first offense they will lower it or even drop it from your record.

His damn cruise broke this week. Guess what we're workin' on this weekend? Yup, it works the same here in OR.....for redcution in fines. If you appear, are respectful, take responsibility for being a DUMBASS, the judge will almost always reduce the fine. Josh, if you get nailed in TOWN, don't you DARE mention my name.

Sell you a copy of my 'get out of jail free' card for $50.

Also in OR, they CAN pull your license on the spot for 15 over. Doesn't happen too often. Costs about $100 to get it back, plus the bail for the speeding.
