Default I bet it didn't see that comin'

I came over a small rise tonight going... ohh... about a buck fifteen... and hit something that in the brief moment I saw it looked like a possum. I wasn't gonna swerve at the speed I was going. After I had come to a stop, I went back to see what it was. I found what seemed to be a splatter on the road, and about 150 feet later what looks to be the outer covering of an AC catalytic convertor. But it was cold, so I am assuming it'* not mine. Although it looks just like a piece of my cat. I'll check tomorrow when it is light for missing pieces.

I wonder if it was still alive before you hit it or was already roadkill

By the size and color, but it could have just been the piece I found. It was pretty bent up. The splatter may have been from another car with an AC cat on it hitting something, and I just hit the leftovers. Which I am hoping to be the case. I didn't take the time to find the animal.

BTW, I wouldn't have been going that fast in an area that I have ever seen a deer, and I know these parts like the back of my hand. Although it is a possibility, I know.

I worry about hitting deer all the time. But even at 50mph, it would not be pretty. I'd hate it if that happened. The poor thing would look horrible!!!

Oh, ya..the deer wouldn't look 2 good either.
