Check the fsm to make sure the pulses per mile is the same, if it is, pull the dash, tap the wires and make sure it works before you cut the dash.

there is nothing of the sort.....

I installed my own looking at the service manuals....
if you want to do this
you MUST be good with electrical wiring
you MUST have a FSM

Default HUD is possible

To answer the question.....Yes it can be done in any GM vehicle as long as you have wiring like the 2004 newer GP'*. Mainly the single info wire that runs to everything (DIC, instument cluster, OBD II, ect.)

Here is the link that I posted about a year ago on ClubGP when I figured it out. Only problem for the Buick is finding/fabricating a dash piece to acommodate the new hardware in your dash.

http://www.clubgp.com/newforum/tm.as...de=&*=#3079686

Read it a couple times and then feel free to ask questions.

actually its easier to not have the data bus....like i said, i have installed HUD in my car and another members car also.....BillBoost also did it.....

having conventional wires is much easier, there is only 8 wires that need hooked up to get it functoning...

Rogers....your gonna want to get the HUD and the dash wiring from a Bonneville that is the same year as your car....this will make it easier for you
