98-03 PCM'* are supposed to be the same. Best way to check is to send an email and confirm it.

If the PCM is Service Number 16236757, it can be flashed to work with any GM v6 from 1998-2002.

I checked with Todd and here'* the email and reply:

Q : Would it be possible to erase and reflash a 2000 PCM with the file for a 99??

A : The part numbers for the PCMs are different which would mean that it is highly unlikely.

Thanks,
Todd

Actually, the 1999 and 2000 PCM'* have the same service number: 9361735.

Furthermore, service numbers 16236757 (98 ), 9361735 (from 99-00), and 12209614 (01-02) are all exactly the same hardware, and any one of them can be flashed to work with any GM v6 (3.1, 3.4, 3.8 ), n/a or */c, from 1998 to 2002.

If you need some proof that these parts are interchangeable, the PCM I'm using for my tuning on the 1998 LeSabre is from a 2001 Grand Am 3.4L engine.

Default 1997 SSEi PCM question

Does anybody knows if a 98 SE PCM will work on a 97 SSEi?
This will be a momentary swap, till I get mine 97 SSEi PCM back from Intense.

Many things would be wrong. I wouldn't do it personally.
