I bought my 90 bonneville SSE with 80k in mid may of 02, and bought my other 90 SSE with 150k in jan 03. I LOVE them both!

Bought the '93 SSEi in January of '99 with 122,000 miles; it now has 140,000 miles. Had to spend $2,500 on the tranny (tranny was already rebuilt shortly before I got it, but TCC didn't lockup when warm) and $1,500 on the A/C system (new compressor, lines, and evaporator core) within the first 6 months. Since then I've also had to replace the supercharger, water pump, alternator, O2 sensor, catalytic converter, pads and rotors, but hope to keep this car for many more years. Runs great.

Bought the '92 SSE s/c in July of '99 with 114,000 miles; it now has 146,000 miles. It already had a rebuilt engine, supercharger, and tranny when I got it. Since then, it's needed a new master cylinder (dangerous when this failed!), pads, and supercharger oil seal. Not too bad for almost 4 years and over 30,000 miles. Runs great but has always had a rough idle.

Both cars had leaking weatherstripping around the doors, and occasional electrical problems.

Can't beat the roominess, power, options, crash safety, and low insurance cost.

Bought my 93 ssei in 93. It was a lease vehicle w/ 23k mi. Now has 217k mi. Been Great!!

Funny you should mention that. My '93 SSEi, at the time I bought it, had 57K on it and already had a GM-remanufactured transmission in it; I saw the metal-foil sticker on it. I didn't worry about it at the time because it looked like the best possible way of replacing a bad trans, the car ran fine, and it still is. (Seven years later, it's now at 108K.)

Um, yeah, my A/C quit a while back, and a service guy with a Freon sniffer told me that the evaporator was leaking, big-time. I need to make some time to go in there and replace it.

My supercharger's been fine; I don't drive the car hard anyway, unless you count the time when I scared the hell out of myself accelerating up a freeway on-ramp one day. :-) Let it upshift to second, _then_ roll onto the supercharger, and whoa, Momma, hold on...

Water pump is original; alternator is #4 (yes, _fourth_ that I know of), but has AC-Delco warranty so I can live with periodic replacements. 02 sensor was replaced with Bosch unit some years back but I may swap in a new AC-Delco unit prior to next month's emissions test, since the last test two years ago was a little closer to the limits than I would have liked. Convertor was replaced when the original clogged up; rotors have2C the car ran fine, and it still is. (Seven years later, it's now at 108K.)

Gawd, you ain't kidding. My weatherstripping has shrunk out of the tight corners around all four doors, although none seem to leak; it just _looks_ cheesy that way. Low-coolant sensor kept giving false alarms, although that seems to have stopped since I did a proper coolant flush and refill, so maybe the bad chemistry of the really-old coolant had something to do with setting it off.

Other than that I can't remember too many mystery electrical problems. The backlighting of the transmission shift point selector buttons sometimes cuts out (just one or two buttons), as does the overhead foglight switch; the steering wheel controls don't always work the stereo (and the volume control rocker feels like it's worn out anyway); one of my front struts is empty and rattling; um, I think I'll quit sitting around thinking of problems for now... :-)

Got a 2000 SE new in March of 2000. Still have it. ...almost 3 years now! Just over 31K miles. Love it!

Got my 2001 Pontiac Bonneville in August of 2001. It had about 500 miles on it. Now it has 14,500 miles on it. I couldn't be happier with it. Will keep this car until the Pontiac Bonneville GXP comes out..........then it time to trade up to that bad boy.

Bought my 93 SSEi on May 31 2002 with 98,000 miles as of Feb 7, 2003 it now has over 121,000 miles on it. Just had to put a new power steering pump, new steering rack and tie rod ends on it.
