Default My A$$ Creaks....???

Ok....I had a 93' Cutlass SL 4 Door a couple years ago...and it had this a$$ creak...
well one day the monoleaf rear spring snapped and my car was on the ground.

My 96' GP SE is doing the creak....
am I looking at the same problem/future?
What can I do...fix it?....replacement options?
It HAS to be inexpensive...

any help is greatly appreciated!

Hrm, check all the body panel mounts, and suspension. Things shouldn't move by hand while they have weight on them.

Check your license plate! My subs knock mine around with only 2 bolts on it...

Man I feel for you...when I had my '94 GP the same thing happened (except lost both rubbber caps). We tried everything to put some rubber on there, but that piece takes so much friction that nothing stays...I hope you have better luck. Worse yet, the mechanic said that the only way to stop the noise is to replace the entire piece...at $500 a pop!

We never did fix it.

Well, that'* annoying (not for you obviously :P as you can now fix the problem, but for me...I put up with years of squeaking :?). Well, I'm very happy for you.
