Default Free Exhaust

So about week or two ago i spent a very large chunk of change getting brakes done on a 92 Cadillac Sedan Deville needless to say less then two weeks after having it done i decide to go to Blockbuster with the girlfriend after she said she thought there was something wrong with the brakes. I drive it down there and they are horrible. So i assumed that the brake line had sprung a hole being as it was the only thing that had not been replaced. So i only live a mile away from where I work so i took car in there and they pulled rim off and the two week old drum brake cylinder was already leaking. Work replaced it and i went on my way. So i called to Monro muffler where i had it done. They said since i hadnt brought it to them before work was done nothing they could do. Being as that i am a salesman for a living i know the consequences of bad reputation. So i tell them i need some minor Exhaust work on my 1994 Bonneville SSEi they say they will give free appraisal and see if they cant work me out a nice deal for my troubles with the brake work i had done. Mind you my brake work cost me 166 dollars. (Yes im to lazy to mess with drum brakes.) So i call this afternoon to see how much welding Magnaflow high flow cat/flowmaster 80 series and the piping from the newly installed cat back to the back end flowmaster and the tips. I was then explained that for my troubles with the brake system and to keep me as a customer the ehxaust and installation was free.

Sorry about the rambling but i thought was a good story. And i got a free exhaust install and some free piping.

Plus they know i am a car salesman and i can generate some severely good or bad publicity they deal with my dealership quite a bit. And even one bad comment could cost them several thousand dollars in potential revenue. But im extatic. Problem solved and they kept a customer.

Did they actually use new pipe, or re-use a length of your stock pipe for this? Because your stock pipe is (was) stainless, but most exhaust places give you pipes that are not stainless and rust out rather quickly.

It was new aluminized piping. Im not to worried about the rusting out part. I just needed a quick fix until spring. By then something crazy will happen and ill get the mod bug.
