Looking at this kind of makes me miss doing bodywork but at the same time doesn't.

Looks good.

The hand sanding is really hard work, but I'm enjoying it. If I did this more, I'd buy a Straight Line Pneumatic Sander.

This was a very happy day for me:

Relatively inexpensive too.

Yep, I already looked. The sander is under $90. Those 3 rolls of sandpaper cost nearly as much as teh sander.

I got everything a little cheaper than that. $142 shipped from Eastwood.

That'* where I got my sandpaper from, I think it was about $20 a roll. That stuff is great though, just cut what you need and stick it on the block.

Size: 74.3 KB Looks like it turned out real good. Very smooth. Name: P3280439.jpg

Size: 125.9 KB I can't find any rough spots. Still find the odd pin hole, so I will keep looking. But it transitions totally smooth, I can't feel any bumps or uneven spots. Hand sanding is hard, but oh so worth the outcome. 4 days of sanding and I'm really happy. I'm all ready for prime now. If all goes well, it will be painted on Saturday, and might even be on the can Sunday. I'm planning 4 or 5 coats of paint, and another 5 or 6 coats of clear.

Found these on Ebay, $9.99 a pair. These will look great on the sides of the cowl. </b>

I think it would be better if you painted it onto the base coat. IMO anyway.
