Default I F*^ked Up

The other day I changed my #6 plug. I removed my stabilizer bar to get at the plug. Well, today I get back from having my taxes done ($3000) and I look at the wall in the garage. Whats leaning up against it? The bar. So, i've driven about 150 miles, taken a 25mph clovarleaf at 55mph, and gone over 100 several times with no bar. So, what have I destroyed?

Other than your credibilty?? You'll have to wait for a guru to find out a good answer. Hopefully nothing a quick (and cheap) alignment won't fix.

depening how you removed the bar, you may want to get an alignment after you put it back on.

did you remove the bar by removing the bar + the mounts or just the bar?

Just your self esteem. The amount of adjustment on the top of your struts is so limited that you didn't do any real harm to anything...not even your alignment.

I'd put that baby back on and consider putting those nuts THAT HOLD THE STRUT in the car back on right away though.

I did that too but didn't have the nuts to say anything. I've drove 2 days without it, and after putting it back on I really couldn't tell a difference. I read on here you will need an alignment, but I'm broke and "if it aint broke dont fix it." SO I think you should be ok. If you feel a difference in ride quality, then bring it in for an alignment.

Well, thats good to know. I didn't really notice it was gone. I only noticed a bit of torque steer and was confused by it. I'm glad it didn't cause major damage. I guess the admins won't have to unlock shhhh afterall tonight.

Just be sure to reinstall it the next time you work on the plugs...lol Laughing
Trust me, I learned my lesson this time. I prolly won't be touching my plugs anyways for a while unless I plan on going big and have to drop another heat range.
