Default Tire Time - I bought 'em-

Well, the steel belt is starting to show through my Eagle GTII'*. I wish they still made that style. What'* your favorite type of tire? The Goodyear site only shows four types in this size, and they all have that vertical serrated sidewall that i don't like. The main things i want are a cool looking tread pattern and a quiet ride.

Yeah, my tires wave at me. Keep them narrower than 245, though. They'll rub.

you are saying that if the tires are 245 they will rub. i'm just wondering because i just got some 18" wheels and that is the size tire they say is recommended for my car.

I like Nittos, and Toyos

My 245/50 R17'* rub just a bit at a full lock turn. Otherwise, they are fine. It has never really bothered me. If you would worry about it, get 235'*.

It depends on the offset, too. If the wheels are set out further, 245'* wouldn't rub.

Don't worry too much. Just try not to do any crazy manuvers with the steering cranked.
