Help

So i used my bonne to give a neighbor a jump, right after that my auto locks quit working. Along with that, my interior lights will not turn on when opening the door or using the headlight knob....but they will turn on when you manually push the button at the light. Any ideas? Couldnt locate a fuse for locks in the panel under steering column.

We can probably help with that... what year and model do you have?

Oops.. its a 99 without the supercharge...thanks

Alrighty, first up let's start by having you check the battery cables to ensure they didn't come loose. For some reason our Generation of Bonnevilles like to loosen up and corrode. Since that'll be the area where you attached the cables, that should be a first check.

ok, i checked that, and made sure they were tight...no change at all, is there a fuse or a relay somewhere that im missing?

There are maxifuses under the plastic cover on the firewall under the hood. Those are pretty large fuses and rarely go bad. This fuse is most likely under the driver side of the dash or up against the A pillar under the dash on the passenger side. Sorry..I don't have my book with me or I'd be able to give you a better idea which fuses to check.

Dan, Todd, Pat..got anything handy?

Wow, so there's a fuse panel under the passenger side dash as well, i had no idea.. I'll check there, i get emails on my blackberry so anytime someone replies i know right away, thanks a bunch.

The fuses on the passenger side are more engine control/fuel related. They aren't as much accessory based as the ones on the driver side.
