Default Transmission Question...

Hey Guys,

As many of you know, i have been cruising around in a 2005 and been hitting the forum frequently asking about maintenance repairs and other questions regarding the car.

Well this time, i have a question dealing with the shifting of my car. My car has 83000 miles, and i hear these transmissions are pretty reliable, but my car every now and then has a hesitant shift. Its very intermittent and only really notice it between the 1-2 shift and sometimes (like maybe twice) the 2-3 shift. The transmission doesnt seem to slip at all, just like it gets caught in Neutral for a bit, then it goes into gear and is just fine.

I did experience the hard shift (aware of the pressure control solenoid within transmission with P1811 code) once awhile back, and had the car looked at when at the dealership (still have the GM warranty on it, for another 4000 miles) and they updated the PCM and havent had any issues with it in the last 7000 miles. I have done a complete transmission flush including dropping the pan, cleaning it all out, cleaning magnet (a fair amount of deposits were on it, seemed average for 80,000 miles car), changed filter, and topped it off with new transmission fluid....

So, any possibilities of what could cause the hesitant shift every once and awhile? If its something major, i would really like it to be resolved before warranty is up. Should i invest in a code reader and cruise around looking for it to throw codes? Any suggestions or recommendations would be appreciated..

Thanks,
Eric
