Default Heat getting into the cockpit..

Within the past couple weeks i have been noticing that a lot of heat is somehow seeping through the firewall and getting into the cockpit of the car..and its pretty uncomfortable on days that i cant roll down the windows. Anyone know how this could be happening?? The heat is mainly coming through by my feet. HELP!

You actually feel air rushing into the cabin type thing? I get that sometimes on the interstate, but not for too long

On a more serious note...if you are feeling warm air it could be outside venting. However check the little vented area of the dash directy to the right of the cigarette lighter. The cabin temp sensor is located there and if dirty or restricted it could give a false reading and ask for heat.

Try turning on your A/C and control it to blow the air onto the windshield.... then turn it off.

It might be that because your vents were left in a certain position it was letting air in from the motor.....

Is your rubber seal under the edge of the hood closest to the windshield installed in the engine bay? Behind the strut tower? If not, or if it'* off it'* lip, hot air can enter the climate control system.

Might not be correct on this, but this happens to me sometimes. If you get the chance, crawl under your driver side dash and look behind where the radio and all that is. You should see a black piece directly behind it, mines really loose, and Im pretty sure the heat is coming from there.

A bad cat will heat the floor quite well. I almost didn't want to fix it since it was winter....
