Best/Longest lasting wax?
i used some armour all crap last week. It rained once, and i washed it once. Its no longer smooth. In other words I cant slide my a#$ donw the hood. It also seemed to make the water stick to the car surface rather than repel it. Dont buy that stuff. What is the best??

On my daily cars I use Meguires Gold Class paste. Paste will outlast liquid everytime.
On my showy car I will use www.zainobros.com products. Little more expensive but I feel worth it.

I use the gold class paste as well, it seems t hold up pretty well on everything but the hood. After a few rains it doesnt bead as nicely for some reason on the hood.

Probably because of the heat from under the hood
My cars sit outside most of the time (I know, but don't trust the Chevelle out at night) and the hot summer sun will lessen the life of the wax in short order. I get 5 washings at best with the blcks cars out in the sun all the time. It is hard to keep up sometimes.
How about using a car duster between washings just to keep the washings to a minimal? Especially if yours is garaged.
