Have new wheels, worried about tires

I had an offer made to me to get four of the wheels i show below for $775 (all used, no tires) plus freight half way across the country.

I was thinking that $600 + freight would be a more reasonable price, am i dreaming?

Make the offer for $600, that's the only way to find out. What is the price of new wheels?

IMO for the nearly 200/wheel at 775, your better off getting something aftermarket that look even better and are brand new

thats what i was thinking, but i havent found anything that had caught my eye alot. Most of the new wheels have really thin straight spokes and i just dont think they will look as good. I like a little bit of direction in my spokes "swirl". I like the american racing 'Sniper', but i think american racing wheel look cheap with their big obnoxious label on the centercap.

It just doesnt have enough metal on it though IMO. What are your all's thoughts?

That's real pricey for factory wheels. I got my new-in-the-box ghetto golds for $48 a wheel, including shipping and taxes.

I agree with you about the ugly AR logo.

Those factory wheels are sharp. The recent Bonnevilles 00+ look great in play. (Saw them on the "Official BC Wheel thread", a couple of the members have them on pre-'00. They go about $800 used, on ebay. :( For that you can get a big choice of aftermarkets.

Not to jack the thread, and supply some unhelpful info.....

If you like the curved supports, these are the (opinion) best I have ever seen.

A while back, I cropped them out of a BC members pic. They were a little over the $200/per price when I searched for them at the time. Of course now I can't remember who had them, or their model. And a quick search at retail sites, still no luck. ( i know, big help)

The point is... $775 may not be completely out of line for the market, but that price leaves a lot of aftemarket alternatives.

Yeah, you thought the ARs were a littlle sparse on metal. These other ones are split 7 spoke, instead of 5. There's more cover (again, opinion). That's why I suggested them.
